The Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) organized an Alumni Dinner 2023 in Islamabad at VU Head Office Ataturk Ave G/10.

The night aimed to bring together both VU alumni and faculty/staff to rekindle friendships and reminisce about their time in varsity. It was heartening to welcome over 150 alumni to the dinner and hearing how their lives and careers have been propelled by the university.

The evening kicked off with a welcome address by Ms. Rubina Ali (GM Marketing - VUP), followed by a speech of Guest of Honor Mr. Sohail Tajik DIG, before guests and alumnus introduced themselves to all attendees.

Mr. Tajik talked about Muslim educationists and the moral values that helped them make their name in the field of science and technology.

On this occasion, different activities (including games, signing competition, quizzes, distribution of awards and gifts, etc.) were conducted with the alumni to make this night memorable for them.
The efforts of different alumni were recognized with the Star of VU Award and VU Alumni Award for their remarkable achievements in their education and career path. Ms. Irum Ghafoor was given the Star of VU Award and Ms. Sehresh Saqlain & Mohammad Azhar Khan were given the Alumni Recognition award for their outstanding performance.

Mr. Baber Ali (GM-VUTV) also marks the beginning of a new and exciting alumni engagement program for the university by introducing the beta version of a new portal for the alumni association.

In the end, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti (Rector of Virtual University) congratulated the whole team for organizing the stunning event for VU alumni and urged the VU staff to work on VU Got Talent Program, so the university can highlight the hidden talent of VU alumni from small districts and cities across Pakistan.
